Meet TRACEY

We would like to introduce tracey Needham

Tracey’s faith journey began with a simple yet powerful invitation. A lady at her local toddler group invited her to a Seekers course, sparking what would become a life-transforming path. That first step led Tracey to start attending church, and when a new vicar arrived, a church weekend created a pivotal moment for her. It was during that time that she experienced the Holy Spirit, igniting a deep passion within her. From there, she began helping out at church, and her involvement steadily grew.

Encouraging Community

Today, Tracey lives with her family in Ipswich, where she serves as a parish evangelist. Her ministry work is diverse and deeply rooted in community. She leads a bible study group at the church’s community café, speaks through outreach ministries, lends a hand at the top-up shop (similar to a food bank), and supports weekly groups for the older members of the community. Tracey also holds a special place in her heart for organising and running Seekers courses. Having experienced the profound impact of a Seekers course on her own faith, she understands how life-changing they can be.

“Helping people discover Jesus, learn to read the Bible, and pray is a big passion of mine. It’s such a joy to see others grow in their faith through these courses. It fills me with hope and happiness.”

Empowering Others in Faith

A significant part of Tracey’s ministry is equipping and empowering others in their faith journeys. She focuses on helping people grow in confidence, taking their first steps in sharing their faith, and encouraging them to boldly tell their own stories of transformation.

Tracey’s path to becoming a Church Army Evangelist began when another evangelist encouraged her to attend a Faith Empowered course. The experience planted a seed in her heart, even though the timing wasn’t quite right. But years later, God cleared the way, calling her to take that next step. After her first discernment weekend, Tracey knew it was time. The following September, she began her training as an Evangelist-in-Training.

From the moment she started, Tracey felt she had found “her people.” Surrounded by like-hearted pioneers eager to share Jesus in meaningful ways, she discovered a sense

of belonging and family within the Church Army community. The support and encouragement she has experienced have been invaluable.

“The training has opened my eyes to countless ways of doing evangelism in different contexts. It’s given me the credibility, confidence, and practical skills I need to serve in ministry. It’s also strengthened and affirmed my faith, allowing me to hear God more clearly and follow His calling. It’s been an amazing experience.”

Tracey’s training has become the foundation for her ministry, helping her innovate and implement new ways of reaching people. After her commissioning, she plans to continue running faith-seeking and development courses, equipping others to share their faith and transformation stories with confidence, empowering individuals to speak boldly about their faith and create a ripple effect of transformation within her community, all rooted in the love and hope of Jesus.
