Birthdays can be such a special time to see friends, family and celebrate with loved ones. But if you’re anything like us, you don’t need any more stuff for your birthday.

Instead, would you consider setting up a Facebook Birthday Fundraiser in aid of Church Army?

It’s easy, completely safe and secure, and 100% of the donations goes towards helping Church Army support those most in need across the UK and Ireland.

And to say thank you, we’d like to invite you and a friend for Coffee (or tea!) and Cake for 2 on us at Wilson’s Cafe at the Wilson Carlile Centre in Sheffield, home of Church Army’s National Office. That’s right, Coffee & Cake for 2 for free! Don’t live near Sheffield? Why not book a few nights here and come for a city break and use your e-Voucher while you’re here!

How to set up a Birthday Fundraiser

  1. Login to your Facebook account
  2. Click here to set up a Facebook Fundraiser – two weeks before your Birthday, Facebook will notify you that it’s nearly your birthday.
  3. Click Select Charity and select Church Army
  4. Enter the goal amount of money you want to raise (most people choose between £75-£200) and the date you want the fundraiser to end (most people leave choose a week after their birthday).
  5. Click Next
  6. Under “Tell your Story”, write an appropriate title for your fundraiser such as “Jo’s Birthday Fundraiser in aid of Church Army” and write a brief explanation of why you’re raising money for Church Army.
  7. Under “Pick a cover photo”, choose a photo.
  8. Click Create
  9. Invite your friends to donate, share your fundraiser in your News Feed.

How to Redeem YOUR Free Coffee & Cake VoucheR

  1. Once you’ve created your Birthday Fundraiser, Church Army will get a notification from Facebook informing us that you’ve decided to dedicate your birthday in aid of Church Army. Woo-hoo!
  2. If you haven’t already, fill out your details here.
  3. We’ll shortly be in touch via Facebook Messenger or email (if you’ve signed up using the link above) with the e-voucher redeemable at the Wilson Carlile Centre in Sheffield.
  4. Choose which friend to bring with you for Coffee & Cake at the Wilson Carlile Centre.

Coffee & Cake Terms & Conditions:

  • The Voucher is valid for six months from the date of issue, and can only be redeemed at Wilson’s Cafe, Sheffield.
  • The Voucher is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash in part or full and is valid for a single transaction only.
  • The Voucher is not valid in conjunction with any special promotion.
  • The management retains the right to reject any voucher that has been tampered with or found in anyway unacceptable.
  • Whilst stocks last, pending dietary requirements.
