Holiday Hope: Urgent Appeal

Will you help us give hope to children?

Provide Fun and Play this Summer

For many schoolchildren, the holidays spell six weeks of fun and freedom. But sadly, other children may dread not being at school.

They might be one of the 1 in 4 who live in poverty, or one of the 20% of children who have a mental health problem, or one of the 2 million who rely on free school meals.

For these children, school is the place where they’re fed, see people who care about them, and feel free from the chaos they may experience at home, in their own thoughts, or on the streets when they have nowhere else to go.

But with your help, we can give them hope.

Our local centres are full of caring staff who reach out to vulnerable children and families, making summer as fun as it should be. This can range from:

  • Providing delicious meals
  • Signposting practical support and guidance
  • Organising fun group activities
  • Opportunities to play with friends

Above all, we share with them that they are valued and loved by God.

Our thoughts & Prayers are with Southport

Reflecting on the tragic events in Southport on the 29 July, and the rioting that has brought fear and havoc to communities across the UK, we pray for safety for all children. We pray for those who have been affected by the disorder and violence seen across the UK. We pray for those impacted by the heartbreaking events in Southport and for the families and loved ones of Elsie Dot Stancombe, Alice da Silva and Bebe King. You can read our full statement here.
