Pioneer Evangelist: Gloucester Centre of Mission

Location: Gloucester

Closing date: 19th February 2023

Pioneer Evangelist Role, Gloucester Centre of Mission

There is an exciting opportunity for a pioneer evangelist in south-central of Gloucester which  is made up of a wide mix of housing types and social groups.  It has significant areas of deprivation.

You are excited by living and working amongst people deeply disconnected from church, by helping them to discover the joy and freedom of trusting in Jesus and of making a difference in their area.  You will together establish new Christian communities through building relationships, evangelistic projects, and teams.

You have a holistic approach, expressing the gospel by word, action and lifestyle. One particular focus will be young parents and adults (18-35 year olds) and their families, and particularly those with low incomes/ low self-esteem. A ready communicator, you relate well to these groups.  You will be part of a  Centre of Mission established by the Diocese of Gloucester and Church Army.  You love Jesus and people, you are an innovator who brings about changes in people’s lives and in communities, and you enjoy gathering people and encouraging small teams. If you’re passionate about unlocking God’s potential in people, please apply.

You will work as a team with the Lead Evangelist, who is based on the nearby Matson estate on the southern edge of Gloucester.
