Pioneer Evangelist (Children & Families) for Rochdale Centre of Mission
Location: Rochdale Greater Manchester
Closing date: 5th October 2021
This is an exciting opportunity for a pioneering evangelist, Lay or Ordained, to minister across two estates in Rochdale.
Lead Evangelist Bing Liu began the work of this new Centre of Mission in March this year, and has already made an impact in his witness to families and individuals.
As Pioneer Evangelist you will be excited by living and working amongst people deeply disconnected from church, who face many challenges typical to urban estates, and be passionate about helping them to discover the joy and freedom of faith in Jesus Christ. Working under the Lead Evangelist you will communicate the good news by word, action, lifestyle and prayer, especially to children and families. Together you will establish new Anglican Christian communities, under the banner of Hope Community, Rochdale, through building relationships, evangelistic projects and growing teams of volunteers.
The CoM will resource and enable other churches in the Rochdale Deanery, that they may become more confident and capable in evangelism.
The successful candidate will love Jesus, love people, be an innovator who brings about change in people’s lives and in communities, and enjoys gathering and encouraging small teams. If you’re passionate about unlocking God’s potential in people’s lives, please apply.
