Children’s Support Worker (Amber Project)

The Children’s Support Worker at the Amber Project will provide an integrated support service for young people aged 12-18 years old who have experience of self-harm
You will need to have relevant experience of working with young people who have complex issues. Including young people who are trans, non-binary and /or exploring their gender identity. If you are able to work with our young people on a one-to-one basis to give individual support, facilitate age-appropriate music and arts creative workshops and are able to encourage communication both verbal and non-verbal and to help increase levels of self-confidence, resilience and worth, this may be the job for you.
We want to ensure that the Amber Project continues to thrive and support all of those who come along, and we are looking for someone to help us do that.
Salary
£26,812 per annum (pro-rata)
Hours
20 hours per week.
Some evening work will be required.
Pension
The employee will be assessed under auto-enrolment pension legislation and if eligible, minimum contributions will be made.
Annual Leave
25 days plus public bank holidays (33 days total) per annum (pro-rata).
Contract
Part-time, Fixed-Term (6 months)
DBS
An enhanced DBS check required and compliance with Church Army’s Safer Ministry policy and Amber Project’s local procedures.
Notice
4 weeks (after probation period).
