400,000 steps in 40 days

Emma Sivyer is Church Army’s Mission Development Officer (South and East). Over the 40 days of Lent she raised £400 for Church Army ny walking 10,000 each day on the run-up to Easter.

‘The highlight of my personal challenge was spending time with Lorraine, one of Waterways Chaplains, walking along the river Lee. Her remarkable ability to connect with people in difficult situations, addressing practical and spiritual needs, truly embodied our Church Army values of lovingly serving as His hands and feet.

Being employed by this charity made the challenge an easy choice. Hearing the stories of transformed lives is the most rewarding aspect of my job.’
