Details This is an opportunity for a pioneering lead evangelist enthusiastic to see the Good News of Jesus Christ bringing joy and freedom to people across Sheffield city centre and surroundings, especially people disconnected from church, and people marginalised by society. 
A natural communicator of the gospel, through word, action and lifestyle, you relate easily to all sorts of people. An important part of your role will be to foster groups where people from different backgrounds feel welcome and where their faith can develop. 
We are looking for someone able to take the initiative and interpret the mission context. You will need to be able to work independently, as well as working alongside all people and communities.  You are encouraged to draw together Christian leaders in partnership;  you work well with partners, whether as leader, facilitator or team member.
You enjoy gathering and empowering small teams.  You are an innovator who makes things happen, focusing on activities with long-term impact. 
You will be joining an exciting organisation at a time of opportunity, as part of Church Army’s Sheffield City Centre of Mission.
£23,666 per annum
Hours     37.5 hours per week (including evenings and weekends as part of the role)
Pension If a Church Army commissioned, evangelist or ordained, non-contributory, operated by the Church of England Pensions Board.

If not Church Army commissioned, then the employee will be assessed under auto-enrolment pension legislation and if eligible, minimum contributions will be made.
Annual Leave 25 days plus public bank holidays (33 days total).
Contract Full-Time, Permanent
DBS  An enhanced DBS check required and compliance with Church Army’s Safer Ministry policy.
Notice 4 weeks (after probation period).
Occupational Requirement This post is subject to an Occupational Requirement under the provisions made in the Equality Act 2010 that the post holder has an active faith in Jesus. The successful candidate must be in agreement with the vision and values of Church Army and the Diocese of Sheffield.
