Design the Christmas Church Army Card 

Terms and Conditions

  • Entrants to the competition must be aged between 4 – 15 years as at 25 December 2017 and to be eligible for submission must be accompanied by a consent form signed by the Parent/Guardian.
  • There is no charge for entry into the competition.
  • Only one entry per child will be eligible for submission to the competition.
  • Entries must be received by 5pm on Tuesday 31 October 2017. Winners will be announced by Friday 24 November 2017 and will be notified by telephone, post or email.
  • Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges which will include at least one member of the Church Army Senior Leadership Team. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • The first prize winner’s entry will feature as a Christmas card, along with their name and a caption about the work, which will be the official Church Army Christmas card 2017. The card will be sent to HM The Queen, our patron. In addition, we will send the card to the Archbishop of Canterbury, all the diocesan bishops, Church Army international leaders across the world, as well as Church Army families here in the British Isles and Ireland. The winner will receive 10 copies of the card to send to family and friends and a £20 gift voucher. The winning design will also feature in Church Army social media posts throughout Advent.
  • There will be 24 runners-up (12 in each age category) who will each win a Church Army branded pencil case gift set and will have their designs featured in Church Army social media posts throughout Advent.
  • The judges’ selection of winning and other entries will be published on Church Army’s website and we will endeavour to display all entries in a church or other public space.
  • Entries must be the entrant’s own, original work. We reserve the right to exclude any image.
  • Entries must not previously have been offered for sale or published in any media.
  • Church Army reserves the right to exclude any entry and withhold prizes for violating any of the Terms and Conditions. Any amendments to these Terms and Conditions will be published on our website.
  • We are unable to return any entry submitted to this competition. All entries submitted, and reproductions, can be used by Church Army for any means at their discretion at any point in future without cost.
  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances, Church Army reserves the right to substitute alternative prizes of equivalent value.
  • Church Army will use any personal data submitted by entrants only for the purposes of running the competition and promoting the results. We may publicly use the name, age and town of entrants. By entering this competition all entrants consent to the use of their personal data by Church Army for the purposes of the administration of this competition and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented.
